Get Involved

As we work to support more comprehensive policies that protect us from more than one chemical at a time, the opposition will grow and we will need your help and the help of those in your networks more than ever. With that in mind, please help us:

1) Grow our network

Can you invite 10 friends or family members to join the Coalition by December 15th? We've made it easy online! Invite your contacts to join today

2) Collect personal stories to inspire policy makers and build the movement

Tell us: Have toxic chemicals affected your life? What do you worry about? Why do you think Americans need better protection? Take a minute and tell us your story.

3) Hold in-district meetings with local legislators before session starts in February

Meeting with your lawmaker at a local coffee shop or community center is one of the most effect ways of turning him or her into a champion for environmental health campaigns. We can help you connect with others in your area and organize a small meeting. E-mail or call if you are interested suhl@cleanwater.org (860) 232-6232

4) Publish letters to the editor

The editorial section is typically the most read part of a newspaper. Can you help us spread the word about the need for new state and federal laws that better protect our health from toxic hazards? E-mail for talking points and instructions: suhl@cleanwater.org

5) Reach new audiences

Please consider inviting a free speaker or workshop leader from the Coalition to a future community or faith group function, or even a gathering of friends at your home.

Please pick one or all five! And as usual, feel free to contact me if you have any questions or are interested in becoming involved with one of our ongoing workgroups or special projects.
